mozilla.org master plan, Feb '98
Paul recently sent me a link to JWZ's photos taken in 1998, while the Mozilla project was being launched. Here are a few of them:
- The master planof the Mozilla project, during a meeting in order to prepare the launch, a few days after the Jan 22nd announcement about freeing the code.
- Eric S. Raymond (ESR) visit on Feb 4th :
- Linus Torvalds visiting Netscape (Feb 12th, 1998), with Mitchell Baker ;
- Mozilla Navigator, on March 31st, 1998, the day the code was published.
Some people on these photos including Mike Shaver, Mitchell Baker, Dan Mosedale, Dan Veditz, Brendan Eich, are still involved full-time on Mozilla, 10 years after!

ca date !
Sans transition, y'a une petouille de z-index entre la sidebar et l'overlay du lightbox, non (FF3) ? (Ne me dit pas le design a été testé sous IE seulement :p)

Wow!
I'm so jealous about them making a history while I was in a primary school at the same time :))
I'm trying to imagine an atmosphere, was that more about time pressure, risk that Netscape will not agree, or it was more about how to make it properly, or "how the world will look like the day after"?
